Summer

Mountain Biking

UPDATE 6/6/09
No scheduled operations planned for this summer. Due to a variety of circumstances the lift will not be spinning for bikes or scenic riders in 2009. Sorry for any inconvenience. Lift maintenance work and mountain work will be occurring, but no lift served access this summer unfortunately.

To bike at Silverton Mountain in the summer you need to be an advanced rider. You don’t need a big bike, but it’s much more fun if you have one. The trails have been hit by guys on no suspension bikes. We recommend 4” or more of travel, full face helmets and full pads(rentals available at the mtn). Almost all the stunts can be rolled if you don’t want big air, but you should be capable of hitting 2 foot drops or you will be walking a lot.

Expect challenging riding loaded with stunts, drops and jumps on 2,000’ of lift served vert. We focus on building new trails and new hits every week. Silverton features true Canadian style riding in southwest Colorado. Only one hour from Durango, 1.5 from Telluride, but the legit trails feel like worlds away.
